Earlier this week, we put our aprons on for a spot of baking. We ran out of time to decorate but strangely none of our gingerbread men survived to tell the tale!

As part of the whole-school Christmas Art fabric and fibre day, 1st and 2nd Class made Christmas wreaths. "Somebody" (MRS P) forgot to take pictures until they had their finished product but I can promise faithfully it was really them and not the elves!!
As part of our whole-school Fabric and Fibre Art day last week, Mr Hally's 3rd and 4th Class pupils made Christmas Jumper pictures. They turned out really well as you can see!

Please keep an eye on your email over the coming days for a letter from our Green Schools committee with some requests going forward for reducing our waste and helping in our efforts to gain the Green Schools Flag this school year.
Recently, Green Party TD for Co. Waterford, Marc Ó Cathasaigh paid a visit to our school.
This visit had been arranged last year by Mrs Hally in conjunction with our school efforts to gain a Green Flag. Marc engaged really well with pupils (no surprises there, he's a teacher!) and met our Green Schools committee. He has promised to return when we get our Green Flag. This is a big goal for us here in school for 2022/23. Our new Junior Infants have all been settling in really well to their new surroundings. They are delighted to be together with their new teacher and older friends in Seniors! |
